Inverness has 6 daily flights to London opertaed by BA
, easyJet and BMI
. On these flights there is a large proportion of outbound traffic - people going to London for meetings etc.
Apart from Domestic Scottish Flights (IE those operating wholly within Scotland) there's not really any call to go anywhere. It's amazing how many people living in the Inverness area don't go anywhere. Their leisure time is spent in the small locality where they live. My guess is that 9 out of 10 locals don't even know where Bristol is - let alone want to go there.
So, any expansion in the North of Scotland will almost exclusively be for inbound passengers - those wanting to come and see out beautiful scenery and famous monster
