BA Traffic Up

BA reported respectable traffic numbers for June, carrying a total of 3.2Million passengers.

Main gainer was Asia/Pacific, up 17.7%. North and South America were up 2%.

Overall, load factor was 78.9, but most importantly, their premium traffic was up 8.6%.(Newswires)

Good results...

But it's about time BA started to look at expending its network again, because other airlines (AF, VS, LH, etc...) are all growing, and BA is standing still. We need new planes!!!

I'm not too sure that we do. BA are doing fine at the moment, I think it will be a year or so before we see BA even consider a new aircraft order,

I would have thought that BA would struggle to use new planes at the mo -- surely they use all their slots at LHR and until T5 opens, and/or they moved to mixed use runways they can't change much. The don't believe there is a profitable long-haul market out of MAN and they have plenty at LGW.
