Sat Jul 09, 2005 6:09 am

I was looking at the amadeus site, and when checking timetables, I saw the aircraft type listed as "EQV" Does anyone know what that means?

EQV means "Equipment Varies", i.e. different aircraft types (767 one day, A330 the next) or even same aircraft but different versions (767-200 one day and 767-300 the next)

EQV usually stands for "Equipment varies" - I think I've seen that used for flights in which the equipment is changed along the route at an intermediate stop, but I've also seen it - for example - on LH's FRA-MUC flights, on which they use everything from the A319/B735 up to the A300, with EQV essentially saying "We've got no idea what we'll be using - depends on the demand that day".

Okay, that is what I figured. It looks like UA swaps the A320 for the A319 sometimes on that route, so that must be it.

Thanks,
Mitch
