After work, I stopped by the viewing area at GRR
. Just landed was 825UA and she taxied to a remote stand away from the terminal. This was odd since there were only 3 gates in use at the time. It was about 3:35PM local time.
After the marshaller parked the aircraft, he pulled up a set of stairs. After opening the door, I only saw a single uniformed crew member do a quick walk around, and a person in white shorts and a white t-shirt standing by the entry door and the cockpit. They took on fuel and were off again, departing to the east. I am not sure if the casual attire was worn by the co-pilot or not, there were no passengers observed.
Obviously, this was a ferry flight...but anyone have any idea of why and to where? It was odd as GRR
isn't normally a host like this.
