I used to go to the Abbotsford Airshow each year near Vancouver, BC in Canada. Although this is one of the biggest airshows in the world (they claim it is) there usually aren't a lot of commercial airliners. They always have a lot of military stuff, F14, F16, CF-18, B2, A-10, and they had migs back in 1991 that were amazing. 1991 was the best year ever. They have had the F-117 and the huge russian freighter, An224 I think.
But as for airliners, they usually only have 1 per day. They fly one out from YVR for an hour or so and it does a high speed flyby, a couple of sharp banking turns, a dirty pass, a touch and go, another flyby and off it goes to Honolulu or somewhere. I have seen the Canadian Airlines 747-400, DC10-30, 767-300 as well as Air Canada A340 and A320 over the years. I also wish I could see more of these at airshows.
