787 Landing Gear

Thu Jul 14, 2005 6:59 pm

For the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, what gear configuration have they decided on?

I imagine a 757/767 type gear with two main gear legs with 4 tires each. But with all of the new construction materials and technologies maybe this won't be the case. Less gear = less weight.

The 777-style triple bogie seems like too much gear for too small an airplane.

I think the B787 is more like the B757 so i think a lot of B757 features will be the same or roughly the same on the B787.

Thanks
Mike
