Air Transat Flight 236 Story: Dateline NBC Tonight

Sun Jul 17, 2005 11:15 am

Just FYI the story of Air Transat Flight #236 is on Dateline NBC tonight. It has been on before, but worth a watch. Already started in EST at 10pm, but those of you in the west stay tuned.

Wierd, there was just an hour special on this flight on the National Geographic Channel. Some of the descriptions of the flight so far are a little different from each other.

Actually right now on National geographic they are having a marathon of Air Emergency. The episode right now is the one about the Avainca 707 that crashed in NYC when they ran out of gas. The next episode is the British Airways flight 111 when the pilot got sucked out thru the windshield, yikes!!

Air Emergency was also aired tonight on Belgian TV... and about TS236 !!!

It was really very very interesting to watch.

This Robert Piché is a real hero for me. What he did is amazing.

Is this program (Air Transat A330) about the longest commercial glide flight to the Azores?

I watched it on Discovery Channel. Very interesting to see.
