US Airways 767-200ER - Cabin Info Please

Wed Jul 20, 2005 12:51 am

I plan on flying GLA-PHL in the upcoming weeks and wanted to know what the economy cabin is like.
I'm assuming there are no PTVs, based on the aircraft age and financial situation of the airline, but is there any IFE? Are seats and service decent?

I didn't see any cabin pics in the database so if there is anybody who can provide some info it would be appreciated.

Actually, there is one photo in database - taken in 2002. But it is converted cabin. Better than nothing, I guess.

They're dingy and not especially well-maintained. At least, the 762 I flew MUC-PHI in Feb. 2003 was. Ex Piedmont bird, I forget the reg.

I took one from PIT-PHL-SNN last year (I believe it used to be US Airways Flight 70). It was dinged up and maintained poorly. I did find the seats in "ok" condition. The IFE is audio and projectors with poor definition. The TV monitors in the rear section of the plane have poor definition too. Service in economy is ok too. Nothing to write home about. Basically it'll get you there and back, not in style though. In Envoy Class, pax get the benefit of PTVs but they have inferior seating (compared to the A333). Envoy service is JUST "ok". I am going to DUB on one later this moth. Take care and hope your flight goes well on US.

Just to add to the above posts (which I agree with), coach service will consist of dinner which is usually a choice of pasta or chicken. Sometimes it is beef or chicken. It comes with a few bread sticks, a roll, small salad, cheese, and a cookie. Just before landing you will get a "Daves Buttermilk Cake" stick which comes in a plastic wrapper and is also served on the morning Shuttle flights. This will be served with a choice of orange juice or orange juice. Throughout the flight they come around with cups of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or water.

First Class is still pretty good if you can upgrade.

To be fair, I think using the term "poorly maintained" is a bit of a stretch. Ive been on one 767-200 of US Airways to SJU- the plane is in good maintenence. The interior cabin looks dated, but was as functional as any Delta 767 or American 767 Ive been on. Service was standard and the seats are comprable to seats youd find on the 737 fleet (atleast on my plane).
