GF To DUB?

Wed Jul 20, 2005 4:40 am

According to Justplanes:
Gulf Air will inaugurate service from Bahrain to Dublin on December 2nd. The airline will operate 3 flights a week, on Wed/Fri/Sun, with an Airbus A330.
Is this route even viable given the connections via LHR? Will they tie-up with EI to codeshare to US?
Boston, USA

Absolutely; the very fact that they will be the only ones (so far) flying directly when all other carriers fly via LHR will be a plus. Don't forget, it's not just Bahrain, but connections beyond that - to India, Asia, Australia and Africa.

There are no plans to tie up to Aer Lingus flights to the US. Indeed, I believe GF is looking at reintroducing its own flights to the US.

They codeshare with AA from Heathrow to Boston, Chicago, LA, Miami, and NYC.
