Question About WN's 737-700's

Wed Jul 20, 2005 12:50 pm

Does anyone have an approximate number on how many 737-700's are winglet equipped on WN?

Originally, I thought all WN 737-700s are equipped with winglets out of the production line. Well, I found one Airliners.net photo of SW 737-700 without winglets ... photo taken last November 25, 2004....

When did WN finally equip all of its 737-700? (maybe little later after Nov. 2004)

N444WN was the first WN 737-700 to be equipped with winglets and was intorduced in October 2003. I'm pretty sure every subsequent -700 following N444WN was delivered to WN with winglets. Conversions began on previous -700s shortly after. A total of 143 aircraft did not have winglets when delivered to WN.

All -700s now have winglets. At the time of the last conversion, more -700s had been fitted with winglets than delivered with winglets.
