Galileo Access Etc

Wed Jul 20, 2005 8:19 pm

Is there anyway non travel agent type people can access Galileo or similar to find out information like this:

According to Galileo:

VS 7 THURSDAY 15 DEC 05
---------------------------------------------------------------
BRD TIME T D/I OFF TIME T D/I FLY/GROUND EQP E
LHR 1130 3 I LAX 1500 2 I 11:30 346 E
---------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL FLYING TIME LHR - LAX 11:30
---------------------------------------------------------------
CLASSES
LHR-LAX J D Z W S K Y B L M Q X N

I do quite a lot of business flying and am like to book flights depending on the type of aircraft etc.

Cheers

I don't know of any GDS's that will allow non-customers inside access.. Your best bet is going to be either the carrier's website or one of the GDS run travel websites such as Travelocity.

It's too bad EasySabre isn't arround any longer.. their original interface was a tad more informative than what they're using with Travelocity now.. and it was available to the general public.

Hope that helps.

I Googled "easy sabre" the other day and got a password protected link to Travelocity.com. I guess it still exists but I don't know who can access it.

There is a paid website ($9.99US/mo) called expertflyer that will let you look at the fare buckets. For a time you could even read the notes put in the PNR's about you until the airlines shut that off.

You can view the trip, yes. You can also do it on virtuallythere.com, mytripandmore.com, and checkmytrip.com depending on where the original PNR was booked. As far as seeing flights, availability, and equipment type, you'd need GDS access.

Another website I'd suggest for finding scheduled equipment type per flight is eskyguide.com - it's free but it doesn't show you aircraft configuration (i.e. classes of service offered on aircraft/seat layout).
