The Card provides consumers a way to earn TrueBlue points when they are not flying.

The JetBlue Card benefits include:

Q Double Award Dollars for JetBlue flight purchases and other select categories, including restaurants, sporting events, and movie theater purchases

Q No caps on the amount of Award Dollars Cardmembers can earn

Cardmembers earn Award Dollars on virtually every dollar they spend on the Card and double Award Dollars on JetBlue flight purchases, gym memberships, restaurants and movie theater purchases, sporting events, performing arts and golf greens fees5. Award Dollars earned on the JetBlue Card will be converted to TrueBlue points and automatically transferred to a Cardmember’s TrueBlue account.

"The JetBlue Card from American Express is a great way for us to add value for our customers through the TrueBlue program," said Tim Claydon, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for JetBlue Airways. "American Express and JetBlue share the same brand values and they have quickly proven their ability to understand our business model, become immersed in our culture, and appreciate the needs of our customers."

“We are delighted to launch the JetBlue Card and offer Cardmembers a product that helps them quickly earn Award Dollars for award flights on the airline they love most,” added Beth Lacey, Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Cobrands for American Express. “JetBlue Cardmembers can earn awards on all the purchases they make while getting the retail and travel protection benefits and quality customer service that they have come to expect from American Express.”

American Express and JetBlue Extend Relationship

JetBlue and American Express enjoy a strong partnership that originated with JetBlue’s launch in 2000, when the airline began accepting American Express® Cards. In December 2004, American Express added JetBlue to its Membership Rewards® program enabling enrolled Cardmembers to transfer points directly into TrueBlue accounts for travel with the airline. The relationship between JetBlue’s TrueBlue flight gratitude program and the Membership Rewards program from American Express exceeded its one-year goal within four months. In June, both companies announced an extension of their relationship with an exclusive co-brand Credit Card agreement.

I dunno but it just seams like it's easier to get miles for every dollar instead of doing the whole point thing.

I also received an e-mail from jetBlue about the introduction of the card and how right now I could get it with the annual fee waived for a year.

P.S. the card does look damn good in the mosaic pattern!

Carry the Love

As seen on a JetBlue Amex ad. Where did this slogan come from? The carrier or the plastic?

In an aviation sense, upon hearing Love, one tends to think of an airport and a carrier that is the center of a bloody political battle as of late.

"Wouldn't your boss like to fly home nonstop at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon?" -Airline Exec to Congressional Staffer
