Jetstar Logo Jet

Sun Jul 24, 2005 5:16 pm

Hi All

Its on good authority that Monday 25 July 2005 around 11am will see land in SYD the new Jetstar Airbus A320 Logo jet, its a special paint scheme, displaying Budget Rental Car on one side, and Avis Rental Car on the other !

Should be great to see !

Cheers

I didn't think it looked that bad. Saw it today at T2.

That's a bit over the top! But I like it and will eagerly pursue slides for my collection!

Wow a flying Holden Crummydore!!!  Wink

I love the Impulse cockatoo livery too, one of my all-time favourites.

How much did they charge for it I heard they were asking $1m per year for a logo jet?

Gemuser

Personally, I have to agree with Gemuser's reports... It's Fugly.... What I don't understand though is that both Budget and Avis were willing to go halves.

Just looks plain stupid!!!! Give me the QF 744 which was painted a few years back with the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix livery. Looks so much better than that Crap!

Yeah I agree. But the car silhouetted in that design is the ugliest F1 car of the modern era, the Ferrari F310 of 1996 . . . at least when they painted it Ferrari hadn't released the even more ugly raised nose!

I reckon that Virgin Blues Mach 3 looks better than that Impulse one. As for that Jetstar one...

Have to agree. Although I live on the other side of the world from Australia, I have to say I think it would look better on the A320. The B717 looks to much like a mix between the Fokker 100 and the DC-9. Don't mind the F100, but the DC-9, don't get me started.  crazy
First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

What's next for Jetstar? A big NADS logo???

I still just cannot get over the fact that two separate car rental companies agreed to one side of the aircraft each. I would have thought they would go for exclusivity.

AussieinDC
Avis and Budget are owned by the same company here in Australia.

I really like the whole idea... Just not the tapering of the orange and red toward the rear - looks silly. The Budget side looks better than the Avis side, IMO.
