New SXM Airport Sign

Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:46 am

I just got back from my monthly trip to SXM and noticed some new and quite funny airport signage. A pic can be found at

Will be on a Caribbean cruise in August. Should be at that spot on August 19 or so. Can't wait.

Well, looks like that is SXM's response to losing the case against a woman that was hurt by jetblast. I think part of the problem was that the signs were not graphic enough to show what can happen (if you're an absolute moron, that is). This sign should solve that liability problem.

For some people, like myself, the graphic looks more like an enticement than a warning  Wink

Wow they got an aircraft shadow right, an A32X! Normally it would have Airbus wings, Boeing fuse and Fokker tail Wink

Im supprised they used and Airbii, you dont see too many of the A32x series down in SXM, compared to Boeings, and Aibus A330s/340s.
