I'll go with 2x daily CAK-DFW
has had good luck in attacking CO
's business markets from CLE
. Both AA
have reduced CLE
to a 3+ hour RJ
flight. No chance for their best customers to be able to upgrade, and the biz traveller has to drop a ton of money unless they have an advance purchase and a Saturday stayover.
? Won't happen. Too many seats in CLE
? Nope. Would destroy the loads on CAK-TPA
. Many NE Ohio retirees winter (or have moved) south of TPA
. Besides, SRQ
would need to come up wth new subsidy money to make it happen.
My guesses are additional FLL
on weekends would carry a lot of snowbird traffic as well. I wouldn't mind seeing CAK-MSP
, since NW
doesn't want to do it.
