Miles On Song

Mon Aug 01, 2005 2:15 am

Hi.
I just booked my first Song flight. Wanted to know if I can get Northwest WorldPerk miles for this flight?

Thanks.

Thanks millionflyer.

I'll be able to make the Silver Elite this year. I'm excited  Smile

Is there a way that I can add my worldperks number to my reservation online or do I have to call them up?

thanks.

Hawaijahaz, sorry to say, but you cannot earn miles on Song. I was very dissapointed when I found that out myself. I called the NW Gold Elite line to double check, and they told me that you cannot earn miles on Song.
The New American is arriving.

Quoting Hawaijahaz (Reply 2):

...and to answer the second part of the question, there is no way to add any FF number other than DL to a DL reservation online. So much for integration with Skyteam...

Song and American Eagle flights are not eligable for miles on NW or CO. Delta flights operated by mainline, Shuttle, ASA, Chautauqua, Comair and SkyWest are the only flights that you can earn miles on with WorldPerks.

Thanks guys.

Looks I will have to take other flights to get to Silver status. Oh well...would have been nice.

Thanks again.

DeltAirlines and NWCOflyer are correct on this.

The only trickeration to this is if your itinerary includes a song and a DL flight of mainline or connection (x DL Connection flights operated by American Eagle) you can earn miles for those other segments on NW, but not the song.

Example: BOS-MCO (song) then MCO-TLH (DL Cnxn) = DL miles only BOS-MCO, NW miles possible for MCO-TLH.

I am sorry, I thought Song did qualify, since it does for DL flights, that is weird, and perhaps another reason why I have dropped DL like a bad habit, Again sorry for the bad information.
