I understand that most of his experience was at CO. That background makes me feel better about his role at DL and what could be coming down the runway! Any thoughts on what he will do at DL?

He'll hopefully go for even more international flying *cough*Hamburg*cough* .
Quoting B4real (Reply 5):
I believe DL has the most destinations to Germany from all US-carriers, is this true?
Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 6):
However flight- and seat-wise, UA is the number one, with one more flight than DL and significantly more seats thanks to the use of primary 777 and a single 744 and 763 each.
Quoting B4real (Reply 7):
This is a general reflection of DL's strategy - use the 767

Rumors are again surfacing about DL getting ETOPS for their 757s to build up both JFK and BOS, but as much as I'd love to see that, I have strong doubts that'll happen.
Quoting Jmc1975 (Reply 8):
That sounds like it would be better served by American Eagle, where they can capture connecting traffic beyond the MIA-TLH O&D traffic.
Quoting Panamair (Reply 10):
Yes there has been some noise recently about possibly converting the ETOPS-enabled 757s acquired from ATA (apparently it costs US$2.5m to convert each a/c - for both ETOPS and to add BizElite seats). The other noise, though a remote possibility, is to convert some 767-400ERs given the scarcity of the 772s - some routes such as JFK-CDG, are in need of that capacity...

I always wondered why American Eagle never started this route. Seems like a no brainer.
