I really like SJU and think AA operations there are pretty impressive. However, one question about location of AA Eagle?
I would think that Eagle moves more international pax through SJU than anyone--by a long shot--considering all the Eagle ATRs to the many islands in the region? However, Eagle is located at the far western end of the terminal--and on arrival pax have to walk to the very opposite end of the terminal to clear immigration and customs. I am not sure Eagle could be any more distant from immigration hall?
Why is it set up this way? Given that all Eagle pax are shuttled to terminal from a/c on buses in any event--could they not have an entrance somewhere closer to immigration? The walk doesn't bother me especially--although it is very very long--but considering the demographic of many of the pax (plenty of senior citizens etc) would not Eagle as one of the more important tenants of SJU be better suited a little closer?
