AA uses the 737-800 a lot more than once per day. I believe that SJC is actually #2(after ORD) in flts/day.
The AA Boeing 777 will be introduced to New York, and the JFK-LHR route on July 2. It will operate daily on American 116, departing at 1130PM, arriving LHR at 1120AM. On the return, it will operate as AA107, xLHR at 630PM, arriving JFK 905PM.
A shame these are all night flights, but the big bird should be very visible from the inside of the terminal. At JFK, clear glass is directly behind the main check in areas, allowing great views of piers 10+ and 20+. The London flights usually leave from the 10 side, frequently the first gate behind the glass.
Interestingly, the 777 is 20 minutes faster from New York to London than the A300 it is directly replacing.
On 7/2, when the 777 goes into service, the expanded NYC service goes into effect.
