i was seating on this aircraft (744) between 14.20 hrs and 22.30 hrs due to all the industrial action we are all aware of.
The flight was ready to go (even the doors were closed) and waiting for push back.
We were probably one the the most unlucky ones since the strike hit just at the push back.
My question is: Didn't BA have any management staff (training staff for example) capable of moving the aircraft one way or the other? It's difficult to believe that we had to wait 8hrs to be back in the terminal.
Would BA cancel flight 49 for 11 AUG or would it operate two flights on 12 AUG ? (who knows when).
If they don't how are they going to bring people back from USA when all other carriers are full?
