Cape Air Baggage Question

Sun Aug 14, 2005 3:02 pm

Hey, all. I'm going on a trip to San Francisco in a couple months and I'm planning on taking Cape Air from Mayagüez, PR to SJU (AA from then on), but I'm concerned that my bag (27"x19"x10") might not be small enough to fit in Cape Air's Cessnas.

So, does anyone know what kind of dimmentional limitations they have on checked luggage? I looked around their website, but the information's not there. Thanks.

I would think it would fit... when I flew them in the Cape and islands in Mass. they shuttled a lot of construction workers, etc. to the islands, and they had some pretty big bags and equipment. If your not sure though, by all means call them.

You are in for a treat. I flew them from EYW to FLL and had some great views. Just the captain so one of our passengers sat in the First Officer seat. The Cessna 402 should not have a problem with your dimensions. The web site mentions maximum linear dimensions (length plus width plus height) for checked bags on the ATR's at 62 inches but no mention of the Cessna. The only dimensions I saw for the Cessna was carry on baggage at 18 x 11 x 7. The aircraft also has a locker in the wing for smaller carry on bags. Call the airline directly if you are still concerned. Have a good time.
