"This redefined regional jet service also offers a brand promise -- that scheduled flights out of Chicago O'Hare International Airport longer than two-and-a-half hours (as well as select other flights) will be served by United® mainline, Ted(sm) or the new explus found on United Express."

"Currently, the majority of explus service is available between Chicago O'Hare and Austin, Tex.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; White Plains, N.Y.; Portland, Maine; and Montreal, Ottawa, and Edmonton (Alberta), Canada.

In September, explus will be available between Chicago O'Hare and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Charleston, S.C.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Norfolk, Va.; and Savannah, Ga.

In October, explus will be available between Chicago O'Hare and Tulsa, Okla., and Jacksonville, Fla. explus is also scheduled to serve Memphis, Tenn., from Chicago in the coming months. Nearly one-third of the United Express fleet is scheduled to operate as explus by the end of 2005"

Is it just me, or does that new C/S look dead sexy on those E-170s....
It looks good period, but on those Embraers, whew.

This could be a good idea. Who knows, I like the way United is going right now, with PS for the coast to coast runs and now this EPlus for regional service. If this is profitable (which I pray it is) then they are doing things right over there.

Going the right direction with services offered. What a novel idea. I hope others catch on.

I'm pleased by this.

My parents moved further out into the mountains from COS, making DEN an extremely long trek. I wasn't relishing the thought of a 2.5 hour RJ sector ORD-COS and COS-ORD when I go visit this weekend, but explus might make it all better.
