Seat Charts From Airliners From The 60s/70s

Wed Aug 17, 2005 1:17 am

Hi folks,

I am new to this and hopefully I place my request in the right forum.

I am interested in old seat charts of airliners such as VC10s, DC-8 and B707s from airlines from the 60s and 70s.

I ve visited www.airchive.com already (nice web site) but besides some KLM stuff, I did not find much.

Can anyone help?

So long and thanks in advance 4 your help

I think I have an old DL seat chart from the late 70's that would have at least the stretch-8's in it. Might even have the DC-8-51's.

It is in a box of old stuff in the garage.I'll have to dig for it.

There is a seat map for a Trident 1E (inlcuding the infamous 7 abreast seating) at the Trident Preservation Society's website, along with some good pictures. Click on 'Technical'

Here is a Caravelle III seat map, which I found on Nils Alegren's Caravelle website.

A very thorough VC10 website has a seat-map from the manufacturer at the bottom of its memorabelia page. There is also a wealth of pictures and information, which may help you acquaint yourself with the beautiful old lady.

I hope this helpful,
