Premiair A330/lavatory

Thu May 04, 2000 1:55 pm

How come Premiair has lower lavatories on their A330s? Is it because they want to fit more seats in the cabin?

Yes, as a matter of fact it is. Premiair is a charter only airline so they really don't use the belly for much cargo. Therefore the more seats on board the more revenue. I'm flying Premiair from MIA to Stockholm in June so I'll let you know how it is

Hiya hombrae!
As Vulindlela744 said, it's because they're a charter airline. More space = more pax = more dinero.

But I think there's something more to it: Have you ever tried to get somewhere on a plane, but realized it's impossible because the isle is packed with people waiting in line to go to the can? If I don't remember it wrong, there's a small waiting room down below, where the toilets are. That way, people won't have to block the isle.

That's what I think. It's a genious idea!

C'ya layter!

Premiair has the lover lavatories, bacause the don't want to have long rows of pax waiting in the aisel's. They know that the pax sitting near the lovatories don't like that. Yes, they have some seas in the loverdeck were the pax can wait to get a ready toilett.
But not all are in the lower deck: 2 lavatories is in the middle of the a/c bacause people that not can walk in down may also need to use it.

Hi,

Airtours have them on their A330's too. E-mail Premiair (premiairshop@premiair.dk) and ask them to send you an A330 Safety Card. There is a whole page about the lavs. including rules and little diagrams. I think there has to be a member of cabin crew down in the toilet area for the flight.

Regards

Craig

Premiair does have "lower-deck" lavs on their A330s. It is featured on their safeties. I think it is a great move for Premiair.

I have one of their A330 safety cards. That's why I asked. Thanks for all your replies.
