Thanks a lot, although it probably won't be accurate past a few days, with aircraft replacements and delays and all. Especially with PHL in the picture.

... interesting, we've been told here in PHX that the aircraft departs at 2000/23Aug back to CLT and is NOT an overnighter....

It's apparently already changed, not that anyone should be surprised. From another board:

For the 24th evening it was skd
741 PIT SFO 604pm 752pm
85 SFO PIT 1031pm 551am Arriving 25th (Thurs)
219 PIT TPA 742am 937am
68 TPA DCA 1046am 1235pm
2036 DCA BOS 159pm 302pm
2135 BOS LGA 419pm 456pm
2185 LGA DCA 625pm 703pm
2048 DCA BOS 759pm 905pm

I saw it in PIT tonight when it came in from BOS and went out to SFO. It ended up parking in the same gate it was unveiled on this past Tuesday. Are any other US A/C due for paint in the near future or are HPs A/C the priority?

Maybe the one MSP flight a day would happen soon...but that is a long shot. I think I'd have a better shot at STAR ALLIANCE again.

Just out of curiousity, is this plane flying under the current HP op certificate? Reason I ask is, the merger is not done, and US doesn't go to PHX currently.

Dang, you're absolutely right. I guess I didn't think they flew there because everytime I was going to TUS from DC, it pulled up United flights. Shows you how much I know about "my" airline... lol

Unfortunately, RDU will probably not see the new scheme until more aircraft get painted since RDU seems to be a Boeing/E70 station only...

They should send it to MEX also.

Are these flts operated only by US or also by HP?

HPA320, I think 109 is doing 629/630 the CLT-MEX-CLT in a few days. it might change but watch this thread for updates. And yes it is only doing US flights.

I hope you guys get to see it.

Well, now the schedule has changed again. This time due to mechanical failures. The PHL-CLT flight today had a plane swap and was sent to the hangar. Where it is going to go from there, I don't know. I do know that I was on that PHL-CLT and didn't get to go on the new livery.  banghead

Then what about at night; when it's dark outside and no one will be able to see it through the glare of the windows?
No. Unfortunately, I don't think that can be the reason.
"Ladies and gentlemen we apologize for the delay....we want to let everyone get a real good look at us, we'll be underway in about an hour...."
New color scheme or not, they need to get their ground-turns below an hour..especially since most of these appear to be through flights...like BOS-PIT-PHX, JAX-DCA-MHT, MCO-DCA-BDL, PHL-CLT-DEN, an hour and a quarter, an hour and a half, is just too much wasted time on the ground.
The economics of fleet utilization, at least in my perspective, would seem to trump any residual perceived benefits of letting people take a look at the aircraft. There will be time enough for that eventually.....now is the time blaze a new trail to profitability.

Any word on when the SECOND aircraft will be painted? Or, when the rest of the fleet is slated to be begin getting thee new paint?
What about the retro-schemes...when are they due to appear?

It's one plane, out of 260+.

US has dramatically increased its aircraft utilization this year, adding the equivalent of 20 planes to the mainline fleet. It's one of the reasons they can afford to get rid of as many planes as they have.
