Longest Narrowbody Airliners

Wed Aug 24, 2005 7:46 am

Hey guys, I'm trying to come up with the list of the longest 5 narrowbody airliners, and heres what I have...

1) Tu-144 (65.7m)
2) Concorde (62.2m)
3) DC-8-61/63/71/73 (57.1m)
4) B757-300 (54.5m)
5) Tu-114 (54.1m)

What I'm curious about is... what am I missing? I know theres something I'm not thinking of.

Looks good to me! I can't think of anything else that qualifies.

You forgot the 727-500...

(I hope everyone realizes that was a joke...)

Any weird random obscure props or prototypes that anyone can think of? I only want ones that have actually been in service, but even just ones that have flown would be neat to know. I was thinking the Bristol Brabazon, but it is apparently not a narrowbody, and the VC-10 is also too short.

I'm actually surprised that Concorde is longer than a 757-300  Wow!
