Allegiant To Increase SBN-LAS Flights

Wed Aug 24, 2005 9:59 am

Looks like South Bend has turned into a big hit for Allegiant.

SBN-LAS flights just started August 5 on a Monday and Friday schedule.

Then last week Allegiant announced new SBN-SFB flights will start in November.

Now I hear that tomorrow Allegiant will announce more service to LAS from South Bend. The schedule will increase from 2 weekly flights to 4 weekly flights on November 10, adding Thurs/Sun flights.

So ummmm, when will the mayhem end? Is there a limit to G4's success? It's a large niche that was always there, but it just never blossomed. And FATFlyer, any new cities on the radar?

I heard from a source that there was some Allegiant paperwork floating around one of the airline's ops rooms in TOL. I didn't get any info as to what it was or it contained but it was there. Is there any chance at them flying TOL - LAS? I know in the past G4 hasn't wanted anything to do with TOL.

There are a lot of cities and route combinations being looked at right now but my information sources are not providing me much more than that these days. The rumors include additional Florida destinations plus some one-stops to LAS and Florida to deal with the aircraft range issues.

Hopefully I can put more together in the near future.

Looks like both South Bend and Green Bay get increased service to LAS. I didn't know about Green Bay.

MFEFlyer, I don't know who will be seeing SFB flights this year, my sources were better only about possible LAS cities. But I've been getting surprised by a few moves lately at G4. The people doing route analysis there are finding some real gems. Maury must be real happy.

For MFE the key will be filling those new flights to LAS. Allegiant seems to be moving quickly to add flights in the cities that respond to their service. Lots of LAS passengers could help get SFB.

Does anyone know how PSC-LAS is doing? I know several people that have flown it and they were really happy with the price and the airline. I'd like to see increased flights... not a lot of options here at times!

Quoting MFEFlyer (Reply 6):

Since I don't work at G4 I don't know. Hopefully one of the employees can pop on and give you and idea.

I wonder if G4 is ever going to do LAS-SFB, but I also understand the range of the aircraft the G4 operates is unsufficent range (maybe?) correct me if I'm wrong.
