AF In China

Wed Aug 24, 2005 7:32 pm

I flew AF from CAN to CDG last Monday.
I expected the plane would be half full, since I thought CAN would attract few tourists and mainly business men, who usually travel less in summertime.
But the plane was actually full (and I was upgraded to the great new business class!).

So how is AF doing in CAN: are all flights packed? Why is there such a capacity to Europe (AF, LH, KL, CZ, +?): business, tourism, or Chinese people living abroad and visiting their home place?

Also, I heard Air China is planning a direct flight from CTU to CDG next year. Has AF any plan to open this destination too?

Cheers

Add AY to that from next June!
There are a lot of European companies having factories and offices in Guangdong Province, hence the demand. And yes, it's a nice tourist destination as well.
AY and ANA rock!

Next AF Winter program to China :

CDG-PEK-CDG = 1 x DAILY B773ER + 4 x Weekly A332
CDG-HKG-CDG = 1 x DAILY - B772ER
CDG-PVG-CDG = 1 x DAILY - B772ER
CDG-CAN-CDG = 5 x Weekly - A332

More destinations should be open in winter 2006 ...

Sorry UpperDeck79, but Guangzhou (CAN) will be added to the network in September this year.  Smile
