Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:17 pm

Here is the recent view of Chek Lap Kok SkyCity International Exhibition Centre still under construction, later it will provide 100,000 square metres for international trade exhibitions & events. It was the key development in the first phase of the 57-hectare commercial place and expected to open in late 2005. The first phase of SkyCity includes SkyPlaze an office and retail complex, Skypier a cross-boundary ferry terminal and a 9-hole golf course. Future phases will consist of a business park, hotels and leisure and entertainment facilities. There is no other place like this accessible by air for foreigner, land for local and sea for Midland China.

No, it's on the same end of the airport island as the terminal building. It is the aircraft maintenance facilities that are on the opposite end.

From the aerial view below, you can see the site of Skycity at the bottom of the picture, pretty close to the terminal.
