DFW -- Now With Four Admiral's Clubs?

Thu Aug 25, 2005 1:50 am

So, once AA moves into Terminal D at DFW, will DFW then have FOUR Admiral's Clubs?

Does any other airport have this many clubs for one airline?

I love AA and DFW, but can this airline dominate DFW any further?
"Lose" is not spelled with two o's!!!!

Interestingly, Delta had 3 Crown rooms in Terminal E before they closed down their hub. I always thought that was way overkill..

Considering AA has operations in A, B, C & D terminals.. 1 club for each terminal seems logical.

Correct. Terminals A, B, C and D will all have Admirals Clubs.

UA has 4 RCCs in ORD, CO has 4 PCs in IAH, and DL has 6!!! CRCs in ATL!

Agreed -- DL's 3 CRCs in Terminal E was excessive and unnecessary, especially once they started their rapid decline at DFW back in 2000-2001.

Continental briefly operated 5 Presidents Clubs in IAH after the opening of the west side of Terminal E, while many prime international flights were still departing (and arriving, obviously) into Terminal D. Once the rest of E opened its doors, the D club was closed as all international departures were shifted over to E.

ATL has 6 Crown Room Clubs and 1 BizElite Lounge. A 7th will be built in Concourse C for DL Cxn flights. They will use the old Eastern Airlines lounge.

More like three and a half clubs rather than four. The Terminal B club was neutered when AA made B all Eagle all the time and turned that club into a Service Center. Main difference is the lack of a full bar and less staffing. Still, at least it's better than the Outhouse (AKA gate A0/A2 satellite).

BA, LH and Korean have their own clubs in Term D. Aero Mexico shares with Korean Air in Term D.

The best Admiral's club has to be the one at LHR. The views alone set it apart from the other clubs that I have been in. The new one in Terminal D at DFW is suppose to be the nicest one. I will report back when I visit it.

It is very nice and It is the largest club at DFW. You sit on the 5th level of the new Term looking out onto the Airfield and you can see all the Dep and Arrivals on the Westside of the airport.

LAX is pretty nice too with the big windows overlooking T4 and TBIT. Very spacious, very modern.
