RE: Delta L1011's & HNL

With Delta retiring their L1011's in the near future, does anyone know which aircraft they will fly on their HNL routes (from LAX, SFO, DFW, and ATL?) The 767-300 or -400 seem to be the logical choices, but I don't believe any other carrier uses 767's on flights to HNL. Would DL be the first?

United has been running 767-300's to hawaii for almost a year now, and has just started 777 service.

I believe AA uses a 767 on one of its current LAX-HNL/OGG flights, and will be replacing all of its HNL DC-10s with 767s by the end of the year!

P.S. Air New Zealand flies LAX-HNL with a 767-300 also.

TWA also flies 767-300 aircraft to Hawaii. TWA flight# 1 leaves St.Louis
everyday of the week at 11:39 a.m. for HNL, and flight# 3 leaves St.Louis
everyday except tuesday at 11:45 a.m. for OGG. Both flights are operated
using a 767-300. Occasionally they have to substitute a 757 with a stop at
LAX because of headwind. The return flight with the 757 is non-stop HNL to
STL possible because of tailwind. I assume they only use the 757 when the
normal 767 is in for maintenance.
