I'm glad noone was seriously hurt.
Here's an article on the incident...funny thing about the "jet."
Lyon relief following air drama
Monday, 29 August 2005
A number of Olympique Lyonnais players were "in shock or complaining of pains in their ribs" after a plane carrying them back from Sunday night's victory at AJ
Auxerre was forced to make an emergency landing in the early hours of this morning.
"A stewardess, who suffered a wrist injury, was the only casualty but some players are still in shock," said a club spokesman. "The pilot lost control of our jet as we were approaching Lyon airport. The landing was so hard that the plane's wheels exploded and a wing was seriously damaged."
Top of the table
Despite none of their players suffering injury, club officials have asked their carrier, Airlinair, for "a precise report into the circumstances and origin of the incident". The French champions won the game 2-0 to open up a three-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 after five matches.
