Who Has The Most To Lose In MSY?

Wed Aug 31, 2005 12:38 pm

Just curious who is the big player flight wise at MSY. I know CO used to be big down there and WN as well. MSY won't be a major tourist destination for a while.

I would think DL and WN. UA operates several TED flights there as well. I read today where UA cancelled something like 63 flights into MSY...does that sound right?  scratchchin
And the winner for best actress is....REESE WITHERSPOON for 'Walk the Line'!!!!!!!!

WN, as they operate the most flights from the airport.

United is trying to relaunch a limited schedule on Wednesday with a focus on getting emergency response and cargo down there ASAP. To my knowledge all UA aircraft had been ferried out of MSY before any harm was done.

We are currently trying to get in touch with the 183 employees in the area and have set up a 24 hr call center for them to report in. United has said that we stand ready to help those employees any way we can. United is trying to contact all employees who live in the MSY area in the next couple days.

I know personally I'm very concerned because I haven't heard from my old roommate who now commutes from New Orleans. All phone lines are jammed in and out of there.

Here's hoping!
