Is it true that Iron Maiden singer flyies B737? It seems.

Travolta, Dickinson... I can't wait for David Gilmour to announce "HI, this is the captain, please fasten your seat belts!"

Would The Guardian lie?

No, wait, scratch that question. In this case, they are telling the truth.

How does it say in "Aces High"?

"Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die.
Run, live to fly, fly to live. Aces high."

Way to go, Bruce...  bigthumbsup

He flies for Astraeus and has also done a TV series about flying various types of aircraft which has shown on British satellite TV.

In addition, this multi talented and very listenable to (at least his aviation info, if not his music!) man was a British champion at the noble sport of fencing!

I believe that all his flights depart "two minutes to midnight".

on a side note....If I can recall, he's also rated to fly a 757-200

I wonder if he would have been a "Tail Gunner" during WW-II... biggrin

maybe they play "Flight of Icarus" during boarding...... yes   bigthumbsup ..

There is an interesting article about Bruce in the current (October 2005) issue of the magazine "Airways". It says he has type ratings on the B737-300 and -700, and currently serves as first officer on Astreus' B757-200s. Not bad for a second career (I guess he wasn't seeing enough of the world with that other 'rock star' job... Big grin)

(Indeed, few people would feel safe on an aeroplane flown by a drummer.) I love it? No truer words have ever been spoken.

Drummer?..I've only seen and heard Bruce rocking with his microphone, no drums involved.

As a both aviation and Maiden fan I loved seeing Bruce in the tv series on discovery, Flying Heavy Metal!  highfive

In the beginning of the first episode you got to see Bruce in the cockpit doing his thing!  Smile

I saw him on TV, on Discovery Channel, in the cockpit of a 727 and an A320.
Does he have his own show?
