WSJ Article On 13% Of US Jet Fuel Production Down

Fri Sep 02, 2005 3:04 am

Katrina knocked out refineries that account for 13% of the normal daily production of jet fuel, or nearly 1.1 million gallons, the Air Transport Association says.

There is also a little chart on jet fuel spot prices going vertical to $2.29/gal (Gulf coast airports, not whole USA).

This is obviously going to hurt airlines.

I didn't see any threads dedicated to the Jet fuel production hit due to Katrina. Mea cupla if I missed it.
