All-white 737 In CLT 9/1/05

Sun Sep 04, 2005 5:39 am

While waiting for my flight home to ORF on, I noticed an all-white 737, tail number N732PA, parked at gate D6. The jet bridge was not attached to it, so I assume it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. I could not get a picture of it unfortunately, and I assume it is a US aircraft, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea why it was in all white?

732PA would be Pace I believe.. probably operating a Bahamas charter, maybe for Vacation Express?

Well N732PA was a Pan-Am 747, and according to the FAA, the Reg no longer exists

Yeah, I looked the reg up on here, and saw that it was a Pan-Am 747...

This is a little weird...

If it's PA, it should be Pace.

It might be an unpainted Hooters jet (do the fly to CLT?), a regular Pace charter, or Vacation Express, as stated above.

I'd put my money on Vacation Express.

I should add...with some research...that there is no 732PA.

The aircraft you saw was most likely 737-306 N372PA, which is operating in white colors now, but was previously painted in Vacation Express colors. This aircraft is former KLM PH-BDL.

Doesn't answer why it was in CLT, but maybe it helps a little?
Also, Vacation Express flies from CLT to Cancun and Cozumel, but these flights are flown by TMA (TransMeridian).

Ship 372 is based out of CVG, while ship 374 is based out of CLT.

Perhaps a regular charter for some CVG based company?

Whoopsy! I guess I was a little dyslexic when I wrote down the tail number. Or it is quite possible that it was due to the fact that I had been drinking for the past 3 hours.

Anyway, good catch. I'll look for it again on Tuesday and Friday while transiting CLT if I end up in the D concourse again...

372PA was doing a charter this weekend. It currently is a floater airplane in the Hooters Air division at PACE.

Have a safe weekend!
