Iberia's New Business Class Seats On A340

Sun Sep 04, 2005 8:54 am

Does someone know how far the installation of Iberia's new business class seats has progressed? I will be flying on Iberia in December (from Chicago) and would like to know whether the ORD-MAD flight will have the new seats by then. any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that only 2 or 3 A340-300s have the new seats so far and about 2 or 3 more could be ready in december (there are 18 A343s in the fleet) so the chance that you will see the new seats will not be so high by then...about 30% chance maybe?

Could you specify which are the lucky destinations?

I thought the A346 would be get the new class first...

All 346's have the new configuration, plus about 3 343's, that makes 12 planes out of 27.

We are talking abbout the A340-300s here and that's why I mentioned 2 or 3 out of 18. All the A340-600s have the new configuration as Icaro has said.

Any destination served by the A343. They are always being rotated, so one destination is not always served by the same aircraft.

This said, the lucky destinations can be:
ORD
JFK
MEX
GUA
SJO
PTY
SDQ
SJO
CCS
BOG
UIO
GYE
LIM
GIG
GRU
EZE
MVD
SCL
JNB

Tks for the clarification. So all A346 have the new business premium product and for the A343 routes a rotation takes plance.

Any timeschedule for the reconfiguration of the other A343s?

Tks,

Right now, there are 4 A340-300 flying with the new Business Plus:

EC-GJT
EC-GLE
EC-HGV
EC-HGX

The ORD flight usually has one of these planes. Also one of them goes to JFK when this flight is not operated with the 346.
