I am totally thankful for those people who responded to my past post My flight is overbooked do I get compensated!!! that I posted a few days ago.
Basically, I was scheduled to travel back to Vancouver from Osaka, Japan on the evening of the 5th of September (Monday). My intinerary was as follows.
JL 1510 ITM-HND 11:35-12:35
And transfer by bus from there to NRT and catch a flight in the evening
JL18 NRT-YVR 18:20-10:55
Now, they re-booked me basically in the same intinerary on the 7th of September.
The problem is that there is now a horrendous typhoon (Typhoon Nabi) destined to hit the Honshu region of Osaka and Tokyo from the evening of the 6th til the evening of the 7th.
I will post the link of the trail of this monster
Now, I just received a call from JAL again saying that both of my flights on the 7th may be cancelled due to the typhoon for another few days. The other problem now is that both JL12 (Scheduled on the 8th of September) and JL 18 (Scheduled on the 9th of September) are completely full for the C class that I was upgraded on.
Can any climatologist, aviation professionals, Japan Airlines insiders, or anybody please help me? What should I do now? Can I ever get back to Canada? My university classes are starting soon and I have no idea what to do.
