So, with the new US/HP merger what’s to become of US Express? I would guess that the two different mainline airlines will operate under there own certificate for a year or so however will there be any shifting of the wholly owned US Express to the West? What about the new AirWisky operations… are they too going to stay all on the east coast? Will AirWisky run Dash-8s like they did for SA)">UA years back, or just CRJs? How many express carriers will be under the US Express banner in total?
Currently MESA I believe operates Dash 8-200s for SA)">HP out of PHX. The Dash-8 200 seems like it might be a good aircraft for some of the thinner routes out west. US has been a believer in the Dash 8, now with the increase in fuel prices is there a possibility of US going for the Q400? is there a poss of a Piedmont base in PHX or LAS? Rumor is that the CR7 and CR9 are on their way to having a base in CLT. Where will these be parked? E concourse or will they park at a jetbridge?
What’s the possibility of a more central focus hub where they could better use Express aircraft? US and SA)">HP both are believers in the hub and spoke system, yet HPs two hubs are LAS & PHX which within an hours travel of each other. If you wanted go say from PDX to PHL on the new US it might be flying all the way south the PHX or LAS and then onto PHL. Are there possibilities of more focus cities out west?
US had talked once about doing more point to point routes, is this what we might see rather than additional cities to already established hubs? I’m guessing with the removal of the 737s we won’t see the “four stop direct” flights across the country as southwest does. Maybe run a Q400 from city to city to city?
Anyone know when the first of the new paint scheme will be seen on an express aircraft?

I’d love to hear some thoughts on the possible changes being made to the New US Airways and Express partners.
