Only partly true.
The Tu-204-100 is certified to Russian standards and is fitted with PS
-90A engines. I'm not really sure how good this plane is because you see a lot of them stored in Russia.
The Tu-204-120 is the version fitted with RB211s, and is certified to European standards. I think Air Cairo is the only airline to have ordered this version.
The Tu-204-300 is a shrink version offered with improved range, but only the PS
The Tu-214 (sometimes called the 204-200), while having the same dimensions as the 204-100, is higher gross weight and is available in a cargo version as well. The 214 looks as though it's currently only available with the PS
While the 204/214 is a nice looking plane (I haven't had the chance to fly on one yet), like most modern Russian types, it has only sold in small numbers (still less than 50 total production I believe). A small order for China and about three more for Russian airlines seems to be the only outstanding orders.
