Quote from Airbus:

jetBlue Orders Seven More Airbus Industrie A320s

Low-Fare Carrier Exercises Options in Commitment to Growth

Continuing on its path of route expansion, New York City (JFK)-based jetBlue
Airways has signed a firm order for the purchase of seven Airbus Industrie A320s,
exercising options on its contract announced with the aircraft manufacturer in April
1999. At that time, the low-fare airline firm-ordered 25 A320 aircraft, plus a further
25 options and 25 purchase rights on A320 Family aircraft.

Deliveries on the newly-ordered aircraft from Airbus Industrie will continue on the
same schedule as the existing order. jetBlue took delivery of its first Airbus aircraft
in December 1999, and currently has three A320 aircraft in service, with another
four slated for delivery by the end of July 2000. All the JetBlue A320 aircraft
feature IAE V2500 engines from International Aero Engines and will seat 162
passengers in a spacious single-class layout.
