Do BMI Employ National Crew For BOM?

Hi

Just wondering if BMI have Indian based crew on this route like BA and VS do?

No they do not. And they had an all-male crew on my flight on Monday to BOM Sad. Reminded me of AI's crews - most of the crew was ageing (no offence meant) and some were rather "large". There was an Italian FA who was so sick of being asked by all the Britishers about the current score (the last day of the last match of the Ashes on that day), that he finally made it clear to all that "I don't understand cricket at all, but I've asked the captain to make an announcement once he hears something".

The hilarious thing is they've got someone reading out announcements in Hindi - but with such a strong British accent, it's not really Hindi anymore. I don't know if they were delivered live or were pre-canned ones. If pre-recorded, I wish BD would re-record them with an Indian person speaking!

While my flight last week BOM-LHR was full, the return flight LHR-BOM this Monday was only 30% full. Almost everyone had a 4 seater of their own to stretch out in (I slept for 4-5 hours!).
