Why Isn't There A QX Special Livery?

Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:24 pm

Hello,

One thing that's struck me as odd is that there isn't a special livery for QX. Could we look for one with their upcoming 25th anniversary?

I think it would be a great idea to have a special livery for their 25th. I guess time will tell. I do think it almost time for an update for both AS and QX.

Remember that even though Alaska and Horizon are owned by AAG (Alaska Air Group), they are to different companies. A special livery just may not be in the mind of the QX Senior managment. QX does try to run their company very different. Also, remember that AS does not pay for it special livery's. So if someone offered to paint a QX plane, I could see it happen.

Yes, but the liveries are very similar in script style etc. I hope senior QX management could take some time out and solicit some sponsors. Im sure many of the cities served would like to see a special livery besides the different named aircraft for cities on their routes. Perhaps the tourist boards or local city, state, provincial officials could be asked. I know there are many other pressning matters, but the themed aircraft have been exceptional by AS.

I always thought a Starbucks livery would be appropriate.

AS739X, I can't wait to see the new AS themed aircraft. I have been trying to get a model of the Disney themed aircraft, but it always sold out. Its truly amazing for a guy who grew up with his yearly visits to Disneyland growning up.  Smile
