Could it have anything to do with this?
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP
) -- The Air Force early Wednesday successfully conducted this year's final test of an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile, officials said.
The Minuteman 3's dummy warhead traveled more than 4,000 miles in about 30 minutes, hitting a predetermined target at the Kwajalein Atoll in the western chain of the Marshall Islands.
The 1:01 a.m. operation tested the missile system's reliability and accuracy. It was the fourth missile test of 2005; the third occurred a week ago.
