Smoking On The Plane?

Tue May 09, 2000 11:55 pm

I was wondering if smoking is permited on private bizjets? For example, if you are flying on LearJet 60 or Cessna Citation or Gulfstream from DCA to ATL for a meeting or any other reason can you smoke onboard?
I saw add somewhere on internet that some charter company will fly you from DCA to ATL for $2000 RT, I think thats cheap for bizjet.
Any comments welcome

It depends on who owns/charters the jet. I would imagine that Reynolds Tobacco would ENCOURAGE you to smoke on their jet!

Charter flights, (even airline charters) can and do allow smoking - if the ashtrays haven't been sealed shut!.

Bizjet charters would be at the discretion of the operator. I dunno though, two grand is an awful lot to pay for an hour and a half flight just to have a smoke.
