Down at SNA

I went flying today and thought I will tell all of you about it. I saw John Travolta jet and I think I trod on him when I was talking to ground. That is a really nice Gulstream.
As taxiway Charlie was busy busy with a plane coming towards us ground put me on alfa the raxi way right next to the terminal wher all the 757 get pushed back. I told my instructor that they thought we were big as we were taking off on 19R. He said we should try and get a get and they can lower it for us and we walk in the terminal and get Mc Donalds. I came out with we need to name our airline we came up with the name practice air. Well we took off and got an early turn out. We were heading towards the queen mary and I could not get a word into tower we cirlce around and I hit the mic. and spoke. Well ew adventually got in and did some pattern. When we took of we saw a B1 siiting on the ground which looked really nice. We tracked down the coast and circles over emmie and eva (oil platforms) we saw some apches flying down the coast and about 5 other planes. I did not get following and we cirlced around the platforms we could not get a word into socal it was so busy so I contrated on maintianing a cirlce and holding level we envntually got in and then Socal could not see our dot on there screen we recycled a transponder a couple of time and then they could not see our third digit. So they changed our code and heard nothing more about that. We got in and it was a great flight. The only mistake I made was talking to John Wayne Advisories I told them we had traffic in sight when we did not. I had forgotten what to say when looking. About 2 seconds later I saw it so nothing came of it. But my instructor explianed that when we say we see him the controller thinks we do and it is not his responsibility any more. The thing that is nice abuot flying is that if you make a stupid mistake like I did you will NEVER do it again. In the air you really learn from your mistakes but it was nice nothing came of mine! Some of you will not care about my flight but I thought it was nice so it might enstuse some one to go up!!

I think I might be in that catagory of
not caring about your flight on a airliner
forum. Just a hint. Your cool and I
know where friends but this is an airliner forum
not a logbook. Anywho, I have been in that Gulfstream
before at BUR where it is based. It has been here all
week. I guess it's for some kid that has some kind
of illness that requires him to come to Southern
California for treatment and John Travolta helps out
with the traveling expenses by loaning the Gulfstream.
It's pretty nice inside, bed,shower,cd player,bar and a
TV of course. Don't forget John Travolta has four other
Gulfstream that he leases out to the Church of Scientology
(erhrhrhhr). He also has a B707 that my friend saw at LAX
(mercery FBO) last weekend. Iain I hope you understand !

Nice and loud too! John and his wife may have also
acompanied the kid to Orange County.
I will check with my friend who works at
the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel who has
seen John Travolta come in several times
with his pretty young lady!

I have heard that John flys the G4?
Type rated in it I think.

Tom Cruise who spends time near
the Ritz also comes into SNA in
his Citation. That Citation is also
loaned to the Church of Scientology (erhhhh).

The KFC challenger
The albertsons King Air
Toca Bell citation
Hornets Westwind
Sharks F900 or F50
and some other really neat ones.

I have also seen his G-4. I was at the gulfstream plant at LGB and I saw John himself. I didnt approach him though, I thought he was more likely bussy and didnt need me.

A long time ago I saw an Austrian Airlines MD-80 at SNA. I think it was some tour os somthing, it was wierd. That happened when SNA didnt have any gates.
