There is a significant gap in capacity between the A-321 and the A-330, and with B-787 sales booming I am surprised that Airbus is not working to upgrade or replace the A-310.
I know that in theory the A-310 is still available for sale, but several years of no orders seems to be sending a clear message that a replacement or major upgrade is needed.
Can Airbus afford to ignore this sector? Am I missing something?
