Full Accident Reports

Wed Sep 21, 2005 10:55 pm

I was trying to find detailed information on airliners accident, but all i found was some very brief reports. I may have used the wrong tools or didn´t find the right website. If someone knows any website that has available full reports, i would appreciate the information.
Thank you.

full reports are published by the authorities of the country where the accident happened; In case of the US it's the NTSB, but every other country has its own safety board. You have to look on their sites, but it's not always easy to find.
Which reports are you looking for? If you tell them here, there will be people here that know where to find it.

Here's a site with a bunch of US reports that you won't find on the NTSB's web site (it goes back further than the NTSB's site does): http://amelia.db.erau.edu/ec/ntsbaar.htm

Ahh good old ERAU Library. I work there when I am at school. The paper copies of all of those PDFs are older than sin, but most are in great conidition. And to think anyone who wants to can get a gander at accident reports from the late 1960s on.

I am not looking for any specific accident, but everyone that i could learn a bit more. In fact i have studied reposts from many accidents that happened in many different countries. What i am looking for this time is to find some information the was not available on the reports i have read before, and also to find a new one.
In our profession it´s better to learn from mistakes made by someone else, and also learn from the good jobs made by others.

Again, thank you all.
