I should say that I'm very disapointed of what they have done with Delta's image. It's so boring. The previous livery was not outstanding, but it was a symbol of continuity.
By the way, for those who want to change AA's livery: would you eliminate the McDonald's "M"? For lots of people around the world, especially American people, change AA's image would be a "Crime against the inheritance". You just can't do that. It's a symbol too. We see it and instantly, we say "That's American Airlines". And it looks great. NYC Int'l
said something interesting about the savings they make with this livery. Actually, I've read in a book - and I just couldn't believe it - that AA was saving 360 M$/year in fuel costs just by polishing its MD-80 instead of painting them. I would definitively keep it.
Please! Do something! Put some colors, some shapes to spice it up!
I would turn back to the last paint scheme, that was much better and looked more serious and credible, although the new one is not bad at all.
Can't even see the clover leaf on the tail, it's too tone-on-tone. And the rest is a poor design job.
I think this one is in the top of my "Ugliests Top 10". What a mess! I've never seen such a waste of colors. Give me the name of the marketing company that created it to be sure that I will never hire them. ... And have you seen this ugly paint scheme with the "AeroContinente" markings?
The previous one didn't look great but it was much better than the new one.
Ok, now, let's talk about Canada 3000. JAT
"Also, although Canada 3000 needs a new livery, I think they are smart
saving money and not wasting on re-painting planes. I mean when it comes to bottom line, especially for a budget carrier like Canada 3000, what's more important, what the plane looks like or the price of the ticket? "
, you're 100% right. Canada 3000 makes us pay less for air travel. That's what really counts for CMM: low fares and they make it. Although it's not the best livery I've seen (far from that), I like it in some way cause I find it original (yes, original!
). The colors and the shape of their cheatline look nice. And who wanted to change their name... AeroAussi
. You don't like it? Canada 3000 is easy to say in French, English, Spanish, Italian... and it's more original than... "Canadian International", or "American Airlines". Don't you think so? It's so original that I just can't tell you where they find that name!!
The previous livery was good; the new one is good too! When I see one of their planes flying over me at FL25, I can read "Air Transat" without any difficulty because their markings are so large and bold! It looks perfect.
Among those I really like are Continental Airlines
(looks clean but not plain, classy tail), Northwest
(no one's like this one with its rich red and gray tones. Good job). Also, I really like Airtours International
. The tail's a masterpiece.
