Delta/Comair Canadair Regional Jet 400.What Is It?

Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:22 am

Hello A.NET!
This is my first post!

I am booked on Delta flight 5350 from BOS to DCA. When I was selecting my seat I noticed that the aircraft was described as Canadair Regional Jet 400. I have searched for a 400 model CRJ but I have not been able to find anything. Could anyone tell me what is the exact equipment for this flight?

Thank you,

It is a regular CRJ with only 40 seats

It's a CRJ with 40 seats instead of 50. No noticeable difference on the exterior though.

Hope that helps.

It is a 40 seat CRJ-200. A CRJ with rows 1, 2, and 13 removed. Row 3 has a huge amount of space.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Rows 1-2 and Row 13 are removed. There is a relatively large closet up front, and then a boatload of legroom in Row 3. On the outside though, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 50 seat and a 40 seat RJ though.

Actually that's a CRJ-100, the original crj.
Good Luck to all Skyway Pilots! It's been great working with you!

Why would they invent a model and not just say CRJ 200?  Confused
Anyway, my question is answered.
Thank you for the replies.

Because it is a CRJ 200 - only with 10 less seats.

Here's a great explanation (better than I can do). See Reply 5: RE: Future Of OH (Comair) (by Formerhongky Aug 24 2005 in Civil Aviation)
